Updates to EdBrite – WETIA’s Free LMS/SIS

The past several months have been a period of rapid change for the EdBrite platform.  Numerous theological institutions have begun using EdBrite’s SIS and LMS features in their institutions.  In addition, EdBrite has made several key upgrades.

These upgrades include:
Modules – Instructors can now launch courses in two different formats including EdBrite’s basic format where all the features appear on the side.  In addition, EdBrite’s “Module Format” is similar to Moodle, whereby components like Discussions, Videos, Quizzes for a particular lesson appear in a self-contained module that can be released automatically by date.

Rubrics – EdBrite allows Instructors to dynamically create Rubrics for student submissions.  These rubrics are automatically graded and final submission grades can automatically be posted to the Courses’ gradebook.

Finance – A new finance section has been launched in EdBrite’s administrative/student database system.  The finance section allows administrators to invoice students and post instructions for student payments.

EdBrite is continually developing its features.  Schools interested in EdBrite can signup for a free trial at: http://www.edbrite.com

WETIA Launches EdBrite, a Free LMS and SIS

The World Evangelical Theological Institute Alliance (WETIA) is pleased to announce its sponsorship in launching EdBrite, an integrated learning management system (LMS) and student information system (SIS). The platform is free for institutions less than 25 active users and has affordable pricing for schools larger than 25.

One of WETIA goals is to provide quality, free/affordable education technology to theological schools. EdBrite’s e-learning system (LMS) is designed for users of all technology levels to easily get started with blended on-campus learning or full online education. Its student database (SIS) helps schools be more efficient in organizing student/curriculum data.

As part of WETIA's sponsorship, schools in the WETIA network throughout various regions of the world are invited to take part in preliminary trials of the platform.
